Wild editorial elopement in Crete

Editorial elopement in Crete

Editorial elopement in Crete. The idea for this unique styled shoot emerged after a visit to my lovely wedding destination, Crete Greece.

Inspired by the rich culture of Crete island, the vivid colors of the traditional costumes and the wild mountains I tried to create a more up-to-date wedding style, incorporating fashion elements in clothing, jewelry, accessories and hair/make up style.  I loved the genuine and simple aesthetics of our venue that reminisced of an old Venetian mansion.

Enagron is an ecotourism village that lies in a ranch with cultivations and wild vegetations in the mountains of Crete island. It’s the ideal place for those seeking authentic and unique destination wedding celebrations and experiences in Greece. It was the perfect canvas to create the wild and whimsical wedding style I envisioned. I used all the traditional elements that I found in the premises, from the old brassware for the flower arrangements and the candles, the handicraft plates for the decoration of our sweet table, the embroidered tablecloths, to the holy bread stamps that were dated back to the late antiquity up to the 20th century, for the styling of our stationery.

For the ceremony flowers we used a ceremony floor piece that laid amphitheatrically and for the dinner table hanging red and orange roses and seasonal spring flowers for the wedding tablescape in colors of red, orange, yellow, white and dusty pink.

For the dining, wooden chairs and a long classic wooden table, embroidered tableware, dark red cloth napkins and vintage bronze cutlery were all that we needed to dress it up. The real statement was the amazing wedding gown accompanied with her wedding crown that made our bride look like a true princess. With the great team that worked together, the result is more than awe-inspiring!
